Is there such thing as a perfect weekend? I THINK SO!
Friday kicked off with a birthday bang at a
new (to me) bar and a stellar cake by the one and only
Mieke. There was Ski Ball, Nachos, love, laughs and
CANS OF CHAMPAIGN! I've never felt so classy.
Saturday Brunch with Lindsey (L) and Kawika (a weekend ritual) is simply the perfect way to start the day. No matter how tired, hungry or grumpy I am when I arrive, I always leave with a big goofy grin and a very happy belly. No one makes me laugh as hard as L.
Sunday started at the Farmers Market where I found
fancy blue cheese, strawberries and the warm summer sun on my shoulders. Brett and his three French visitors spent the morning skateboarding Seattle so I headed up to Capitol Hill and wondered in and out of every store.
Top Finds:
1. A
bead shop that has inspired me to make some of my own jewelry. I'm thinking large coral beads on a simple black T.
2. A store recommended to me by Mieke,
Totokaelo. Unreal. This place deserves it's own post.
Later, Brett and I took a stroll in the late afternoon sun. He's simply the very best walking buddy a girl could ask for. When we returned home the Frenchmen made us authentic French crepes with the fancy blue cheese from the market.
Sundays always end with a sad goodbye to Brett as he returns to Port Orchard and a happy episode of Seinfeld.
Until next time!
